MOCKSVILLE — With only nine players available Monday, the Hamlet American Legion baseball team made each at-bat count.
All nine players recorded at least one hit in a 10-7 win over non-conference Mocksville Post 174.
Dylan Tilson started on the mound and threw six innings for Post 49, while also adding a solo homer at the plate. His blast to left field started a seven-run top of the sixth inning.
Carter Bean recorded a team-high three hits, all singles, with John Carre adding a single and a double. Both Bean and Carre registered two runs batted in.
Tilson struck out four batters and allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits in his six innings. Riley Brown collected the save by pitching the seventh frame.
