Kevin Richard Jenks, 38, of Hamlet, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
He was born Nov. 16, 1985, in Davidson County, son of Vernon Franklin Jenks and Doreen Parker Speedling.
Kevin worked as a painter for many years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan. He also enjoyed fishing and was an old soul at heart, loving old cars, old music, old coins, and collecting antiques. Kevin loved his family, especially his girlfriend of 20 years, Samantha, and his children.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Alice Jenks, Harold Parker and Verline Worrell; and brother, Frankie Jenks.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Vernon and Regina Jenks of Hamlet and Larry and Doreen Speedling of Bennettsville, South Carolina; fiancé, Samantha Denney; children, Talan Jenks, Ashley Leviner, Gracie Johnson, Daltan Jenks, Kisslyn Jenks, Blair Jenks, Macy Jenks, Jaeda Jenks and Paisleigh Jenks; brothers, Travis Lee Jenks, Ricky Jenks and Austin Goins; sisters, Natalia Chavis (Chris), Kris Phifer (Chad), Tina Brooks (Kyle), and Casey Leviner; and many extended family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin, immediately following the visitation, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Charles Leviner and Marty Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Circle Church Cemetery, Rockingham.
