OBITUARY: Linda Kaye Fulp

Linda Kaye Fulp, 69, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 14, 2024.

She was born on May 16, 1955, in Bibb County, Georgia.

Linda had a fulfilling career as a quality control inspector with Fruit of the Loom/ Uco Fabrics and was known for her dedication and commitment to her work. Her attention to detail and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on those around her. Apart from her professional accomplishments, Kaye had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought joy to her life. She enjoyed taking care of flowers, watching a good western, having morning coffee, observing hummingbirds from her window, listening to Elvis and old-time rock and roll music, crafting, coloring, and collecting angels. She really enjoyed her daily phone conversations with her best friend, Emmie Coleman.

Kaye’s proudest accomplishments revolved around her family whom she dearly loved. She found immense joy in being a devoted mother and cherished the role of being a “memaw” to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving family members including her daughters, Leslie Fulp Cobb and Amy Fulp McCormick (Neil); grandchildren, Jesse Cobb, Shannon McCormick, Kaylin Fulp Padgett (Jackson), Bree McCormick, Dalton McCormick; great-grandchild Everlee McCormick; and her life partner, James Baker. She is also survived by her brother, Earlie Ray Honeycutt (Jackie); sisters, Donna Deese, Sandra Casey, Earlene Riggs, Libby Ottinger (Fred);and son-in-law Donald Cobb.

Kaye is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Lee Fulp; mother, Jenny Mae White Honeycutt Fulp; and sister, Sadie Locklear.

Services to honor and celebrate Kaye’s life will be held at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, North Carolina. A visitation will take place on June 18 from 12:45-1:45 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Jason Lutz. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of FirstHealth, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374, with the designation for the Richmond Campus.

Kaye Fulp will be deeply missed by all who knew her but will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, love for family, and dedication to those she held dear.
