ROCKINGHAM — If you’re not in the mood to cook Wednesday evening, VFW Post 4203 is the place to be.
The post’s auxiliary is hosting a chicken and dumplings plate sale, starting at 5 p.m. and lasting until the food runs out.
Plates are $15 and include a vegetable.
Proceeds from the sale will go toward the auxiliary’s general fund.
Each year, VFW Post 4203 Auxiliary sends care packages to Richmond County residents serving overseas in the armed forces.

The organization also hosts a Veterans Day parade each November.
