CAMERON — Moving onto the second round of the playoffs Tuesday, the Hamlet American Legion baseball team did it in a big way.

For the second time in its past four games, Post 49 threw a combined no-hitter against Moore County Post 12.

Winning the game 11-0 in five innings, Hamlet used the arms of Riley Brown (four innings, seven strikeouts) and Brady Fowler (one inning) to keep Moore County out of the hit column.

Post 49 jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings. Leading the way was Evan Hodges, who drove in a game-high three runs batted in.
