ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School junior varsity boys’ soccer team was victorious Thursday.
Hosting Jack Britt High School, the JV Raiders used two goals in the second half to earn a 2-0 victory.
Scoring the first goal was freshman Martin Lopez in the 45th minute, who redirected a deflection off the goalkeeper into the net.

Fellow freshman Kerick Hairston padded the lead in the 62nd minute. His shot from close inside the six-yard box wrapped around the keeper.
The JV Raiders (4-4-2, 1-0-1 SAC) will play Hoke County High School at home Monday. Kickoff is slated for 5:15 p.m.
