HAMLET — Police are hoping someone in the community can identify a suspect in a recent business break-in.
On Tuesday, the Hamlet Police Department released video from the reported break-in at FerroFab earlier this month.
The break-in occurred between 1:39 and 1:49 a.m. Dec. 6, according to the video, though it was originally reported as Dec. 7
The video appears to show the suspect pushing one security camera up, presumably to avoid being seen.
The next shot is from a camera inside the facility, that appears to show the suspect walking in from a small bay door with what looks like a large piece of cardboard over his head.
Investigators say the suspect damaged two vending machines and stole equipment during the 10 minutes he was inside.
FerroFab, on Hyland Avenue, is a steel fabrication company.
The business is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Capt. Randy Dover at 910-582-2551 or 910- 995-6633, or Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
