Hamlet Police seek man for questioning in murder case

HAMLET — Police are asking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning in a homicide from last summer.

The Hamlet Police Department published a wanted poster to its Facebook page on March 15, asking for assistance in finding 42-year-old Derrick Antwan Davis.

Investigators say they want to question Davis regarding a triple shooting on July 17, 2021 on Monroe Avenue. One of the victims, Roshied Morrison, later died in a hospital, according to police.
