HAMLET — Police are searching for suspects in a robbery case where the victim was tied up.

According to investigators with the Hamlet Police Department, a woman returned to her home on West Hamlet Avenue on Oct. 8 and as she was walking to her door was approached by a man who demanded her purse.

The suspect then hit her in the head with a gun and took her inside where she was forced to take off her clothes before being tied up with a telephone cord, investigators say.

Another suspect came into the home and the pair reportedly stole pain pills in addition to the victim’s purse. They also allegedly tried to steal the victim’s cellphone but it fell to the ground, according to police.
