Investigators say emergency responders initially believed she had been hit by a vehicle, but add that evidence found during the investigation led them to believe her death was intentional and the case is considered a homicide.

Anyone who noticed a white female with a dog walking along U.S. 220 anytime Saturday is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 910-997-8283 or Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
