Rockingham McDonald’s employee charged with probation violation in New York

ROCKINGHAM — A man wanted on a probation violation from the Empire State was recently found working at a local fast food restaurant.

According to the Rockingham Police Department, 30-year-old Tarrance Shamere Loyd was arrested Monday at his place of employment — the Rockingham McDonald’s.

RPD officers assisted the U.S. Marshals Service with Loyd’s arrest.

Investigators say Loyd had been working at McDonald’s since May and was wanted on a weapons violation in New York.

Loyd was booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond where he is awaiting extradition.

Jail records show he was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Online North Carolina records show Loyd has no pending charges or previous convictions in this state. New York records are not as available online.
