ROCKINGHAM — One person is dead after a late-night shooting resulted in a crash.
According to investigators with the Rockingham Police Department, a vehicle had been shot at and one of the occupants was hit before the vehicle crashed on County Home Road around 11 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6.
Investigators say the wreck was a result of the shooting, however would not yet say if the deceased individual was a driver or passenger.
The only information given about the deceased is that the victim is a “male subject.”
Officers worked throughout the night on the case and it is still under investigation, according to RPD.
