Rockingham Police charge woman with trafficking meth, heroin

ROCKINGHAM — A woman is facing multiple drug charges following an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics.

Investigators with the Rockingham Police Department executed a search warrant on a Garrett Street home on Tuesday, April 4, according to a press release.

The release, posted to the RPD’s Facebook page on Wednesday, does not indicate how much of which drugs were reportedly found.

Police have charged 41-year-old Amy Lee Parker with the following:

  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance (two counts)
  • Trafficking in methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (two counts)
  • Trafficking in opium or heroin
  • Maintaining a place for a controlled substance (two counts)
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Parker was booked into the Richmond County Jail where she is being held on a $200,000 secured bond. She is scheduled to appear in court April 20.

Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Parker was previously convicted in 2002 of possession of drug paraphernalia.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
