ROCKINGHAM — One week after a shooting on one city street, police returned for another.

Officers responded to a call of a gunshot victim on Hunter Circle around 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, according to an incident report from the Rockingham Police Department.

The report states that the 35-year-old victim was given aid for his injuries, but no other information was given as to the extent of said injuries.

However, the report also indicates that an estimated $5,000 worth of damage was done to the victim’s 2012 Dodge Charger.

The crimes listed on the report are assault with a deadly weapon, injury to personal property and discharging a firearm in city limits.

Last week, on June 9, officers responded to a shooting in the same area around 10 p.m.

A 38-year-old man was shot in the right arm and the window of a 1998 Ford Explorer was also reportedly damaged in the shooting. Officers reportedly recovered nine 9mm shell casings from that scene.

The report from another shooting in the city limits that day has yet to be released.
