Rockingham Police seek suspected jewelry thieves

ROCKINGHAM — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men suspected of stealing from a local pawn shop.

The Rockingham Police Department on Thursday posted photos of two men investigators say stole jewelry from Ned’s Pawn Shop on Saturday.

Both men appear to be middle-aged, but were wearing masks — which makes identification more difficult.

Investigators say one of the men distracted a store employee while the other grabbed jewelry out of the case.

The men left in what police say appears to be a silver older model BMW.

Investigators are not sure if the suspects are local or from out of town.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Rockingham Police Department at 910-895-2468 or send a message through Facebook; or call Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
