Rockingham woman accused of stealing from Walmart, ’emitting excrement’ on officers

ROCKINGHAM — A woman allegedly stole from a retail store, ran from the cops and soiled them during her arrest.

According to arrest warrants, 47-year-old Jill Bridges Reale, of Rockingham, stole unspecified clothing and wine from Walmart — valued at $58.41 — on May 5.

Reale allegedly refused to stop for officers of the Rockingham Police Department while driving 40 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Once she was stopped, warrants allege Reale refused to get out of her vehicle and walk to a patrol car and she is accused of “emitting excrement” on the two officers while they were trying to place her in the car.

Reale was arrested and charged with: misdemeanor larceny; fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle; failing to heed a light or siren; resisting a public officer; assault on a government official or employee; and possession of stolen goods or property.

She was also charged with failing to appear on a misdemeanor in Moore County.

Reale is being held in the Richmond County Jail on a combined $28,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 27.
