HAMLET — Police are asking for help finding a Scotland County man wanted on kidnapping and burglary charges in a domestic violence case.
According to investigators with the Hamlet Police Department, 25-year-old Lamondrick Keon Blue — who has addresses listed both in Laurinburg and Wagram — was recently released from jail and caused a disturbance at the Tall Pines Apartments.
Blue allegedly picked up a stick and threatened to kill the victim, who reportedly pepper-sprayed her assailant and ran to a neighbor’s home.
Police say Blue followed her, climbing through a window armed with a gun. However, Blue reportedly left the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators posted Blue’s mugshot to the HPD Facebook page on Oct. 10, saying there were active warrants for his arrest on charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary.
Online court records show Blue already has multiple domestic-related charges pending.
In one case, filed on April 7, Blue is charged with breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, interfering with emergency communication and resisting a public officer.
That case was continued by the state on Aug. 1 and a disposition hearing was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24.
Blue was charged with communicating threats on July 21. The next hearing in that case is scheduled for Nov. 7.
Both of those cases were handled by the Hamlet Police Department.
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Blue was convicted in Scotland County of second-degree trespassing and misdemeanor breaking and entering in 2022 and given a suspended sentence.
Investigators are working with law enforcement in Scotland County to locate Blue.
