Woman accused of selling heroin, meth across Richmond County

ROCKINGHAM — A Richmond County woman is accused of selling drugs from three locations across the county in a five-month span.

According to arrest warrants from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Hayley Kristine Williams — who has addresses listed on Clover Hill Road in Ellerbe and Brandon Road in Hamlet — sold 1.2 grams of heroin and 0.1 gram of methamphetamine to a confidential informant between Aug. 14 and Nov. 13, using a room at the Budgetel Motel in Rockingham.

Williams is also accused of selling 0.3 grams of heroin and 1.1 grams of meth from a red Honda car around Sept. 15, and selling heroin from a home on Brandon Street earlier this month.

She was arrested Dec. 15 and charged with: six counts of selling or delivering a Schedule I controlled substance; four counts of selling or delivering a Schedule II controlled substance; three counts each of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule I controlled substance; and two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Williams was booked into the Richmond County Jail where she is being held under a 100,000 secured bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on those charges Jan. 21, 2021.

In May, the Hamlet Police Department charged Williams in connection to a theft at Advance Auto Parts.

Online court records show Williams is also facing the following charges: three misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen goods or property; one felony count each of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle; one misdemeanor count each of attempted larceny, aiding and abetting larceny, possession of up to a half-ounce of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Williams also faces traffic charges of reckless driving to endanger, driving with a revoked license and failing to heed a light or siren.

Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Williams was convicted of maintaining any place for a controlled substance in January of 2017.

Three months later, she was convicted on two counts of possession with intent to sell a Schedule II controlled substance.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
