CCFCA Breaking the Chains announces August banquet

WEST END — Concerned Citizens For Community Action Breaking the Chains Outreach Ministry will host its 4th Annual Men and Women Empowerment Awards Presentation Banquet, Saturday Aug. 21, 2021 at the Days Inn Conference Center, 805 Service Road Hwy US 1, Southern Pines, NC 28387 from 5-10 p.m. 

The theme of this year’s Award Presentation is: “I Found the Will to Keep Going.”

CCFCA Breaking the Chains Outreach Ministry is an tax-exempt ministry advocating to end domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual abuse in the community and state of North Carolina. 

Incorporated in 2016, CCFCA Breaking the Chains has visited churches and organizations highlighting the importance to know and identify toxic behaviors leading to domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual abuse. 

“Our plan of action is to open safehouses for victims to safe haven for 24 months in a lifeskills development program and family intervention therapy counseling service,” said Isaac Jenkins, CEO of CCFCA BTC.

Working with agencies and existing programs, CCFCA Breaking the Chains Outreach Ministry has been able to engineer victims to resources in Scotland, Richmond and other counties. 

Awardees are: Moore County Deputy Clerk Marie Baker, who’s in need of a kidney donor; Dr. Kathy Cummings;  Evangelist Jackie Covington; O’Linda Watkins, president of Moore County NAACP; the Rev. Tawanda Bennett; Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields; Aberdeen Mayor Robert Farrell; Milton Ellerbe, COO of M.E. Greenhouse LLC; Kym Nixon, CEO/founder of Channging Destiny Ministries; Jessie Linberg, executive director of Turning Point Inc., Monroe; Prophetess Olease Ingram-Davidson, keynote speaker from St. Lucie County, Florida; Martha J. Butler, Owner of McDonald’s of Moore County; Melanie Green, CEO of M.E. Greenhouse LLC; Debra Ensminger, Moore County director of Planning and Transportation; Robert Allred; Bishop Ricky Smith, St. Peter Church of Delivance; Alex McAllister, used car saleman; Pastor Patricia McMillan will give the 0pening keynote speech.
