ROCKINGHAM — More than 60 vehicles filled the front lawn of Richmond County Hospice last Saturday for the organization’s fourth Cool Cars for a Cause.

The event — sponsored by Watson-King Funeral Homes and Richmond County Memorial Park Cemetery — brought in around $5,000 to help RCH provide end-of-life care, according to Julia Woody, director of public relations.

Several other local businesses made monetary donations or donated items for door prizes and goodie bags.

“The weather was as close to perfect as it could possibly be with blue skies and sunshine!!” Woody said in a Facebook post earlier this week.
