The Cancer Care Treasure Shop is located in the Pineridge Shopping Center in Rockingham with Ollie’s, Farmer’s Home Furniture and Dunham’s Sports. The Treasure Shop has been open in Rockingham for over 5 years and has made multiple donations to the American Cancer Society (ACS) from store proceeds and funds raised in 3 years of their annual “Walk For Hope” Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, held each October.

Treasure Shop owner Rodney Gandy has a personal connection to cancer with his mother being diagnosed twice. “We want to raise fund not to benefit just one person, but to help with cancer research so that we can find a cure to all types of cancer,” Gandy said about the support of ACS.

In addition to research funding, the ACS assist people all over the country with expense related to cancer treatments.
