Students from Ellerbe Middle School traveled to Savannah from June 9-13 for the Junior Beta National Convention.

Ford Applewhite, ZyRihanna Robinson, Caroline Robbins and Ariana Marcelino competed in the Collaboration Connection event, securing 7th place in the nation.

Collaboration Connection challenges team members to think on their feet, utilizing leadership and teamwork skills to quickly answer a problem or task. Participants use both creative and critical thinking skills to solve problems.

“It was a wonderful experience to be in Savannah with National Beta and see the impact Beta has on many students and schools. It’s an amazing feeling to be recognized out of all the states and schools in National Beta. I can’t wait to go back,” said Robbins.
