HAMLET — One local church is planning to illustrate the “reason for the season” for Richmond County residents to view from their vehicles.

First Baptist Church of Hamlet will have a drive-through live Nativity Dec. 18 and 19 from 6-6:30 each night, according to pastor Allison Farrah.

“The bell chimes will play beautiful Christmas carols as the Christmas story is portrayed on the front lawn of the church, with a live cast depicting each Biblical character,” Farrah said. “In a year that is different than any we have known with the COVID pandemic, this is a safe and meaningful way to celebrate the season.”

The church is located at 208 Charlotte St., Hamlet.
