Nov. 6: Youth Mental Health workshop will be held in collaboration with Harnett Co. 4-H from 11:20 a.m.-12:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Harnett Co. Resource Center at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington. Laurie Conaty, LCSW, will present with an overview of supporting youth mental health, especially with regard to COVID. Nov. 9: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy webinar will be held virtually from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Beverly Wicker, LCSW, will present on what EMDR entails and the benefits of this therapy for trauma and anxiety. Nov. 17: Engaging Young Adults in Careers webinar will be held including an important discussion on programs and services for youth and young adults to include information on career counseling, skills assessment, short-term occupational training, GED prep and supportive services. Nov. 18: Parents, Foster Parents and Caregivers Support Group meeting will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. via WebEx.
