CHARLOTTE  — A Richmond County man working as a correctional officer at Lanesboro Correctional Institute has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly smuggling drugs to an inmate, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

HAMLET — A woman accused of robbing multiple banks along the East Coast — including one in Richmond County — has been apprehended, along with an accomplice.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College officials announced on Facebook late Monday morning that college “experienced a cyber disruption of our network services.”

ROCKINGHAM ― Police have released more details related to the arrest of a man charged with human trafficking in South Carolina.
