ROCKNGHAM — Three drivers who hoisted NHRA Wally trophies last week at the NHRA Virginia Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park, did the same Saturday at Rockingham Dragway after prevailing in the fourth of six Lucas Oil Series events in the NHRA’s Southeast Division.

ROCKINGHAM — Rockingham Dragway owner Steve Earwood said Thursday that a $485,000 grant from the state’s Motorsports Relief Fund announced this week by Gov. Roy Cooper will be used to help offset the cost of new Compulink scoring and timing equipment and other planned facility improvements.

Earwood, Gibbs honored at NCMA awards gala

CONCORD — Rockingham Dragway owner Steve Earwood and NASCAR Hall of Fame team owner and Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs were among those honored Tuesday night (April 19) at the North Carolina Motorsports Industry Ceremony presented by Fifth Third Bank at the Embassy Suites Ballroom.
