PEMBROKE, NC – Professors became students at UNC Pembroke recently when 59 faculty members immersed themselves in a six-week certificate program in Online Teaching Excellence hosted by the  Office of Online Learning and the Teaching and Learning Center.

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is using radio and video messages to reach historically marginalized populations to share important messages about reducing risks for COVID-19. The messages are part of the Department’s focus during the COVID-19 response to address the underlying causes of long-standing health disparities impacting communities of color across North Carolina.

I think I have watched everything that the streaming video services have to offer. I have exhausted Netflix and Hulu. I have run the gamut of every genre on Amazon Prime. Mickey Mouse himself asked me not to watch anything else on Disney Plus.

I get bored pretty easily. When I do, I have a few go-to things that I do when I get bored. 

RALEIGH — U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri, has introduced legislation making it easier for consumers to sue big tech companies such as Facebook or Twitter for showing overt political bias. To do so, Hawley wants to remove automatic protections tech companies have under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 and instead force them to act in a politically neutral manner.
