Halloween is one of the oldest of the holidays which we celebrate. It’s actually my second favorite holiday, with Christmas being the number-one favorite.

Making Memories at Robert's Pond

I suppose a lot of people wouldn’t consider spending time fishing as a way of making memories with family. If that’s true, then I suppose I must just be different than most people.

Trying to Get to the Beach

 

Back many years ago when a lot of Richmond County residents worked in various mills and sewing rooms, it was a given fact that those employees would have the week of the Fourth of July off because those facilities would be closed that whole week. Places to stay at the beach would always be packed out during that week since so many people had no choice but to use that week as their one and only vacation of the year.

Quilts of Love

At Cartledge Creek Baptist Church we have a ministry that is called “Quilts of Love.” This ministry was the brain child of Sharon Puckett and Crystal Crouch, who also attend church there. The first meeting was held in October of last year and we have met every two weeks since then, except for the month of December.
