Outdoors, Epicenter cited for Richmond County tourism growth

Outdoor activities, such as paddling down Hitchcock Creek, and the inaugural Epicenter Festival are credited for giving Richmond County a 6.7 percent boost in tourism spending for 2018.

ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County saw the sixth-largest increase across the state in visitor spending for 2018, according to a study announced Thursday.
