State archery tournament champions announced

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission’s National Archery in the Schools Program State Tournament took place Friday and Saturday at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. A total of 801 archers represented 31 schools from across the state, making it one of the largest in-person NASP tournaments in agency history.

RALEIGH — Officials at the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission have confirmed that students across the state will gather for the first time since February 2020 at North Carolina’s National Archery in the Schools Program State Tournament in Winston-Salem, Feb. 25-26. Over 750 students from 30 schools will compete in elementary, middle and high school divisions.

LAURINBURG — In July of 2020, Scotland Regional Hospice announced the cancelation of its annual golf tournament fundraiser due to North Carolina’s restriction of mass gatherings in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Prior to the cancelation, the tournament had been held annually for 33-uninterrupted years raising more than $4 million for patient care.
