ROCKINGHAM - Back many, many years ago when I was a child, my Dad played for a church softball team for a few years. Our home church didn’t have a team of its own so Dad was allowed to play with another church team. I cannot remember the name of the church since it’s been so long ago, but I know we did visit that church on at least one occasion and it was way out in the country outside of Candor, NC.

The Blind Date

It was in the fall of my Senior year in high school when a life changing event occurred in my life.

Azalea Bolton Column: Looking at the Inside

I recently saw an episode of “The Waltons.” Grandma had suffered a stroke and was unable to speak and tell people what she was thinking.

Another year has almost come and gone. Back many years ago, I thought the saying “the older you get, the faster time goes by” sounded like a crazy saying, but I really do feel that way these days.

Right after Thanksgiving, my husband and I got our Christmas decorations out of our storage building.

All Saints or All Spirits Day

Halloween is one of the oldest of the holidays which we celebrate. It’s actually my second favorite holiday, with Christmas being the number-one favorite.

Living on Two Wheels

Back when I was a child, it seemed as if my brothers and I lived on our bicycles.

Making Memories at Robert's Pond

I suppose a lot of people wouldn’t consider spending time fishing as a way of making memories with family. If that’s true, then I suppose I must just be different than most people.
