HAMLET — Over 100 people earned a high school diploma through Richmond Community College’s adult education programs this past year. The College held a special graduation ceremony Tuesday night at the Cole Auditorium to celebrate these students’ achievement.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College’s Board of Trustees held a specially called meeting Wednesday to approve the new budget for the planned addition and renovations to main campus in Hamlet and to approve a bid for the construction project.

HAMLET — Once again Richmond Community College will be honoring one of its many exceptional graduates with the Outstanding Alumni Award at the College’s Convocation this fall. 

HAMLET — Richmond Community College’s Board of Trustees approved a request Tuesday to add an associate degree in Emergency Medical Science to its curriculum programs beginning fall 2020. RichmondCC will now submit an application to the State Board of Community Colleges to be able to offer this new two-year degree.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College is once again expanding its summer camp offerings, with rising fifth- through 12th-graders invited to attend up to 11 sessions this year between June 17 and Aug. 1.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College Information Technology graduate William “Hunter” O’Neal knows that if he wants to be successful in an IT career he must continue to educate himself in this ever-changing industry.

HAMLET — A series of workforce advancement classes known as “Fridays at the Forte” will be offered May 31 through July 12 every Friday at Richmond Community College in the John E. Forte Building.

HAMLET — N.C. Sen. Tom McInnis was the guest speaker at Richmond Community College’s Electric Lineman graduation ceremony on May 17, touting the success of the program and its ability to immediately provide graduates with well-paying jobs.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College has announced its honor lists for the 2019 Spring Semester. The President’s List identifies students who earn an “A” in all courses and have a 4.0 grade-point average while carrying 12 or more semester credit hours excluding developmental credits. The Dean’s List includes the names of students who attain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 and earn no letter grade lower than a “B” while carrying 12 or more semester hours excluding developmental credits.

HAMLET — While a huge rock music festival was happening just a few miles down the road in Richmond County on Saturday, May 11, Dr. Dale McInnis said the real rock stars were seated right in front of him at the Cole Auditorium.
