PEMBROKE— Assistant professor Dr. Cindy Locklear has been appointed by Gov. Roy Cooper to the North Carolina State Social Services Commission.

UNCP to host annual Festival at Old Main

PEMBROKE — UNC Pembroke will host the 29th annual Festival at Old Main on Saturday, April 13 from 1-5 p.m. The event, located on the Quad, will feature food and fun for the entire family. In the event of rain or bad weather, the event will be held in the University Center and Jones Center.

PEMBROKE — The UNC Pembroke Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10.

PEMBROKE — The UNCP Model United Nations team won eight awards at the 2019 Spring Southern Regional Model United Nations conference in Charlotte March 28-30.

PEMBROKE — Xin Dong, a senior chemistry major and international student from Beijing, China, will continue her education in the doctoral program in chemistry at the University of Minnesota in the fall.

PEMBROKE — The Healthy Start program at UNC Pembroke has been awarded a five-year, $5.4 million grant.
