MRH–Richmond names Physician and Advanced Practice Provider of the Year

ROCKINGHAM — FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond has awarded hospitalist Ramey Wilson, M.D., 2024 Physician of the Year and hospitalist Wayne Ramsey, FNP-BC, 2024 Advanced Practice Provider of the Year.

Members of the MRH-Richmond clinical staff nominated the providers for the annual honors.

Nominations described Dr. Wilson as deeply caring and someone who is “always willing to help.” Staff said Wilson treats each patient like they are his only patient and treats the entire person. He was also described as approachable, calm and professional.

Ramsey was nominated for his kindness and the way he connects with patients. Nominations said Ramsey treats everyone at MRH – Richmond with respect.
