ROCKINGHAM – Richmond Senior High School Raider Marching Band director Mike Ward has chosen senior Ney-Hagee Patterson as the Marching Band member of the week.
“It has been a pleasure to be Ney-Hagee’s band director these past four years,” Ward said about Patterson. “She is always well behaved, polite and responsible. In addition, she is intrinsically motivated to do her very best in academics and music.”

Other instruments played: “I also play bass clarinet,” Patterson said.
Extracurricular Activities at RSHS: “I am in the National Honors Society, Beta Club and I am on the bowling team,” Patterson noted.
Favorite classes at RSHS: Patterson said she enjoys her band and psychology classes.
Hobbies: “I enjoy drawing and practicing my instruments,” Patterson explained.
College Aspirations: “I am looking at UNC-Pembroke and Appalachian State,” said Patterson. “I want to be a psychotherapist.”
