PHOTOS: Cat5 rocks Plaza Jam like a hurricane

The Cat5 Band blew into Rockingham Thursday evening for the fourth installment Plaza Jam’s 2022 season.

The two-hour set list featured original songs “Beach and the Boulevard,” “Drive” and “Never Give Up on Love,” as well as keyboardist Tim Sidden’s single “Carolina Queen,” mixed in with a variety of covers ranging from Wilson Pickett’s “Don’t Let the Green Grass Fool You,” to Prince’s “1999,” to Van Halen’s “Jump,” to Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart.”

The band formed in 2019 featuring members of the Band of Oz, Coastline and Hip Pocket and won five Cammy’s in 2021.
