HAMLET — The sounds of cinema filled Cole Auditorium Thursday evening as the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra took the stage.

The hour-long concert, “Fantasy, Fairytales and the Force,” featured selections from a variety of Disney movies, ranging from the animated classic “Sleeping Beauty” to the more modern “Frozen.”

The orchestra also played music from the film adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” and the main theme from Star Wars, composed by John Williams.

Reduced tickets were made available through grant funding from The Cole Foundation and Foundation of the Carolinas.
