HAMLET — Richmond County Hospice’s annual Dancing with the Stars fundraiser kicked of Sept. 23 with the food portion of the event: Taste of the Sandhills.
Cole Auditorium was a little darker and decorated to fit this year’s Spooktacular theme.
Those with meal tickets were able to sample delectables from numerous regional restaurants and food trucks: Ansonia Soup Company; Axe to Grind; Britton’s BBQ; Buie’s Cotton Gin; Burger Bros; Cafe Convo; Carolina’s Kitchen and Catering; The Gentleman Mobile Bar; Godfather’s Pizza; Hickory Tavern; Hidden Treasures; Holiday Restaurant; Kountry Kitchen; La Familia Mexican Restaurant; Los Mariachi’s; Mama Noi’s; Melj Sweets; Scott’s Table; The Taco Factory; Taco Loko; The Grille; and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
The action on stage started with a brief introduction and musical number, and the intermissions were preceded by performances from Bold Moves Dance Company and Dance Sensations.
