Fans came out to cheer on the Raiders for the annual homecoming parade Friday afternoon in downtown Rockingham.

Green- and gold-clad onlookers lined East Washington Street as the homecoming court, clubs from Richmond Senior High School, athletes from the middle schools and other members of the community made their way down to Harrington Square.

Serving as grand marshal for the parade was former RSHS principal Keith McKenzie.

According to a post from current principal Jim Butler, McKenzie was a teacher and coach at Monroe Avenue, Hamlet Jr. High, and Washington Street School. He then made the administrative jump, serving as assistant principal at Washington Street, then principal of Hoffman, Fairview Heights and East Rockingham elementaries, and became the fifth principal of RSHS in 2012.
