
ELLERBE — The John Lentz Hunter Education Complex hosted the official state activities for National Hunting and Fishing Day on Sept. 24.
People from around the state came to enjoy the outdoors. There were several demonstrations ranging from cooking to archery and decoy carving.
The main event of the day was a shotgun demonstration by the Elkin High School shooting sports team, the 2022 state champions.

The archery, shotgun and rifle ranges were all open to the public.
Game wardens from around the state were present to ensure safety and answer any and all questions about hunting and fishing.
