ELLERBE — The rain held off for the first three of the four hours scheduled for Mayfest in Ellerbe on Saturday.
The event, which has been running since 2012, is a fundraiser for the Mineral Springs Improvement Council and is held the first Saturday of May at the corner of Railroad and Easterling streets.
In addition to several craft and clothing vendors, the Richmond County Health Department, Richmond County Aging Services and New Horizons Life and Family Services had informational tables set up, and Goshen Medical Center was on site to provide health screenings.
