ELLERBE — After two rounds of Shop with a Deputy, several employees of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office rode up to meet Santa to pass out toys.

For the third consecutive year, the RCSO teamed up with the Ellerbe Rescue Squad to deliver toys to kids throughout town.

Several children jumped with excitement and anticipation as Santa’s convoy approached.

Capt. Mike Childers said more than 100 churches and businesses donated to both the Shop with a Deputy and parade programs.

“None of this would be possible without their support,” Childers said.

The RCSO will have a similar parade in Cordova at 2 p.m. Dec. 16 and will be on-site for the Dobbins Heights sleigh ride starting at 1 p.m. Dec. 22.
