Hundreds of trick-or-treaters stalked the streets of downtown Rockingham Tuesday afternoon collecting candy from businesses and organizations participating the annual Spooktacular.

Kids and adults were dressed up for Halloween, with costumes ranging from Disney princesses to Marvel and D.C. superheroes and other fictional characters, as well as homemade outfits.

One of the most popular costumes seemed to be Wednesday Addams, following the character’s recent spinoff show on Netflix. Several families dressed up as the Addams Family, including that of Mayor John Hutchinson.

Another frequently seen getup was Pennywise, from the reboot of Stephen King’s “It.”
