Three local bands performed Saturday at VFW Post 4203 in an effort to raise money to send care packages to local soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines serving overseas.

While the Beach Fever Band, who headlined the show, was the only beach band, the set lists of the Jonathan Robinson Band and Safety Committee included classic rock and blues tunes.

The event was rescheduled from last September.

The post’s auxiliary is planning to bring back Rockin’ for Veterans, which started in 2016, on Sept. 16.
