Several up-and-coming country singers took the stage at Rockingham Speedway last weekend to add a musical component to the Tailgate N’ Tallboys festival.
Josh Ross kicked off Saturday’s concert — appropriately — with his song “Tall Boys.” The Canadian’s set list also included a cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” which was released the year the singer turned 2.
Ross was followed by Georgia-born Jon Langston, whose songs included “Grandaddy’s Watch.”
Singer/songwriter Chase Matthew then rocked the crowd with a set including his hit “County Line,” setting the stage for headliner Bailey Zimmerman, who opened with the title track off his latest album, “Religiously.”
Three other artists — Jake Worthington, Mike. and Ernest — performed on Friday.
