PINEHURST – Andrea Ackroyd, PA-C, has joined FirstHealth Neurosurgery in Pinehurst as a certified physician assistant.
Other members of the FirstHealth neurosurgical team include Cynthia Z. Africk, M.D., and James Walker, M.D.
Ackroyd received a B.S. degree in biology cum laude from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the Physician Assistant Program at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.
Before moving to North Carolina, Ackroyd was employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine as a Trauma Surgery physician assistant.
She is looking forward to working at FirstHealth and joining the skilled team of neurosurgeons while providing exceptional care to her patients.
