Relay For Life holding 2nd annual Reindeer Run in Scotland County

LAURINBURG — Relay For Life of Scotland County will hold its second annual Reindeer Run & Santa Chase on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in downtown Laurinburg.

The Yuletide-themed dash will begin and end at McDuffie Square on Main Street and participants will also get to enjoy Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and even have their picture taken with Santa.

The family-oriented event will include the Reindeer Run/Walk 5K and the Santa Chase 1K Walk for all ages. The entry fees is: $10 (ages 16 and up); $5 (ages 12 to 15); and children ages 11 and under are free with a paying adult.

All proceeds from the event will aid the American Cancer Society in its mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
