HAMLET — Participants from 15 dance companies across the Carolinas competed in a sold-out Cole Auditorium this past weekend.

Dance Machine-America’s National Dance Championships held its regional competition over the course of three days, with dance teams demonstrating different moves in a variety of routines.

Richmond County’s Bold Moves Dance Studio and Dance Sensations both participated in the event, with both teams earning some hardware.

Bold Moves also won Grand Champion in the recreational category with the “Red Runs Cold” routine.
