Richmond County Women’s Health Summit to focus on breastfeeding

ROCKINGHAM — In observance of World Breastfeeding Month, the Richmond County WIC Program will be hosting a Women’s Health Summit.

The summit, “Normalizing Breastfeeding- A Public health Affair,” will be held at the Cole Auditorium on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Richmond County WIC Program will host the event in collaboration with other local agencies including Pee Dee Pregnancy Crises Center, the Richmond County Partnership for Children, and First Health Richmond Memorial. Guest speakers include an international board-certified lactation consultant.

A buffet-styled lunch will be served, and awesome door prizes will be gifted including cribs, car seats, and infant supplies.

All prenatal and currently breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to attend.
