Richmond Senior Beta Club brings home awards from state convention

ROCKINGHAM — Members of the Richmond Senior High School Beta Club racked up more than a dozen awards last weekend at the state convention.

The students competed against those from other schools from across North Carolina Jan. 27-28 at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.

Those winning individual awards are:

  • Abbie Player – Jewelry, Division II – Second Place
  • Abby Williams – Digital Art – Second Place
  • Jacey McRae – Recyclable Art, Division I – Second Place
  • Ashley Murphy – Recyclable Art, Division II – Second Place
  • Madison Grimes – Black and White Photography, Division I – Second Place
  • Mia Green – Science 10th Grade – Third Place
  • Savannah Jordan – Math 12th Grade – Fourth Place
  • Tobey Lunceford – Agriscience 11th Grade – Fourth Place
  • Citali Jimenez – Quilting, Division II – Fourth Place
  • Kelly Diaz – Agriscience 12th Grade – Fifth Place
  • Gabby Lutz – Language Arts 11th Grade – Fifth Place
  • Calli Byrd – 3D Design – Fifth Place

The RSHS crew also placed in the following categories:

The club was also honored for Convention Growth.
